Swan Song ran in The Snapper, Millersville University's student newspaper, during my junior and senior years. I was intrigued by the true-life pairing of the college's iconic swans, Fred and Ralph, and the difficulty that they had producing offspring. Fred and his previous mate, Ethel, had had no problem in that department. This predicament inspired the first year of the strip, which is presented here in its entirety:
